A Renaissance Beauty If There Ever Was One

From the day her grandmother first dressed her in a ball gown, Bianca Fusco Zanatta, the creative vision behind M. Zanatta Homes & Design, has been surrounded by beautiful things. Now she spends her days making others’ lives more beautiful, designing architecture and interiors for the world-famous from Newport Beach to Milan to Asia.

As a descendent of Italian royalty with a fashion-designer mother, Toronto-born Fusco Zanatta recognized her artistic calling during childhood. But when she embarked on a world voyage, she discovered “the beauty of architecture and the Renaissance” and truly found her path. Her love for the period shines in her European-styled, antique-filled interiors.

Beyond art-filled rooms, the designer creates beauty in deeper ways.

“As a young girl, it was my duty to help others,” she says of the roots of the extensive charity work she and her family do, which focuses on children. “We all rely on networks of support in anything we do, and children are no different. I believe every child deserves special treatment.” Scroll down to learn where this inspiring designer draws her inspiration from.

Adoring all things Renaissance, Fusco Zanatta marvels at the works of Michelangelo, Raphael, and Leonardo da Vinci. Her go-to bag for work and play is a pink Versace, and she can’t live without her two beauty essentials, La Prairie cream and pink CHANEL lipstick. Colourful pieces from de Grisogono are her jewelled indulgence, and for her home, French Louis XV or Louis XVI antiques. She has a soft spot for her Jimmy Choos and the bright cheerfulness of gerbera daisies, and always has her Louis Vuitton luggage in tow when on the go. To get away from it all, she jets off to the sunny harbours of Portofino, Italy, or turns to Venice, Italy, to be inspired by the exquisite masterpieces of Andrea Palladio. While there, she’ll treat herself to a sweet whipped dessert, the Marsala-infused zabaglione.
