While design has shifted over the centuries, quality craftsmanship and elegant forms that soothe our spirit have not. Like its trade secrets, the beloved Italian furniture-maker Minotti has been carefully passed down from generation to generation, a family business now run by two brothers,

Renato and Roberto, forging new pathways in design while still adhering to its classical roots.
Renato declares that respect and empathy fuel Minotti’s creative direction, something he and his brother cultivate on trips to Minotti showrooms across 70 countries. Their travels around the world surround them in various cultures, art and even classical film, inspiring them and often translating into Minotti’s next curve of a couch or precise proportion of a cabinet.
Roberto emphasizes the marriage of heritage and modernity — one without the other is incomplete. Design that transcends time requires both beauty and quality, so instead of chasing fads, the brothers build upon superior craftsmanship and simple, aesthetic, elegant furniture that makes a space balanced and peaceful — a subtle sense of happiness — the hallmark of Italian design.

Acclaimed architect and designer Rodolfo Dordoni captures Minotti’s trademarks of practical function and harmonious, understated beauty in the new collection A New Home Attitude. The Freeman Lounge collection expresses a comfortable, inviting tranquility with unique softer angles and delicate stitching that turns furniture into art. The chairs in the Creed collection integrate the legacy principles of firmness and flexibility, with its simple, straight lines and soft backrest and cushions.
The Minotti 2016 collection also broadens the living space, connecting indoors and out. Renato points out that Minotti is not simply creating new furniture, but introducing new lifestyles. With its timeless principles and approach, it’s no surprise the healthy balanced lifestyles it encourages are already sitting well with people around the world.
