Greenwich in Connecticut located on the east coast of the United States is home to one of only two high-goal polo clubs in the country, and each spring hosts some of the world’s best players, and their strings of champion horses, for prestigious tournaments.
On Sunday, June 12, Greenwich Polo Club held the second round of the Monty Waterbury Cup as part of the 15th Annual Polo for Children benefit, with silent and live auctions, cocktails, a luncheon, and a special children’s tent with a live DJ and fresh smoothies.
More than 2,500 guests attended the event, organized by Hole in the Wall Gang to support its camp programs for seriously ill children.
The polo match was a competitive one that went into the first overtime of the season.
The finals of the Monty Waterbury Cup will be held at the club this Sunday, June 19.
